Pre-purchase surveys of listed, or historic buildings for both residential and commercial clients.
Defect diagnosis of historic buildings particularly to identify causes of damp, rot or to advise on other defects which result from inappropriate use of 'modern' building materials.
Advice on how a building has been constructed, reporting on the known common and/or likely problems with a particular older building type and the 'pros' and 'cons' of undertaking any repairs.
Preparation of schedules of works, specifications, design and project management of historic buildings repairs, refurbishment or modernisation, with a conscious focus on sympathetic restoration, whilst retaining as much of the original building fabric as possible.
Preparation and issuing of Listed Building Applications including preparation of Design and Access and Heritage Statement reports.
Pre Start and ongoing site meetings throughout project to ensure works are completed sympathetically and in accordance with the agreed specification of works.
