Contract Administration & Project Management

An integral part of our services is the contract administration of building project contracts ranging in value from £25,000 to over £4,000,000. Typical contracts include office fit outs, external renovations, residential repair and refurbishment schemes (including insurance claim repairs - see the following link: INSURANCE) and building planned maintenance repair projects.

Services:
Contract Administration

  • Meeting with Client to understand project brief

  • Preparation of design specification of works to accurately detail all work items to meet clients requirements

  • Issuing to tender

  • Review of tenders received, answering contractor / cost queries and providing a report with recommendations on contractor to be appointed

  • Contractor instruction and preparation of relevant JCT works Contract

  • Pre Start and ongoing site meetings throughout project

  • On site monitoring of progress to include quality of workmanship and project costs as defined within the Contract

  • Agreeing contractor valuations and invoicing

  • Snagging 

  • Issuing of Practical Completion certificate on satisfactory conclusion of works

  • Agreeing Final Account with the Contractor

Our team are experienced in understanding and dealing with the complexities of managing a property repair or refurbishment scheme from inception, through to satisfactory handover (Practical Completion) back to the Client.

We work closely with the individual to ensure that all design criteria are met, a detailed design package is prepared and tendered and that the correct contractor is appointed to assist in the smooth running of the project. We work hard to ensure good channels of communication are maintained with all parties to provide a collaborative approach to working, ensuring focus is placed on making sure both the contract terms are fully complied with and that everyone is working 'as one' to meet the clients requirements.

  • Our Project Management team have experience dealing with projects in a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, insurance and educational.

  • Meeting with Client to understand project brief

  • Procurement of specialist sub-consultants as required to achieve required project design

  • Ongoing liaison with and oversight of design team to enable completion of detailed tender package
